Although ISO 14064-1 defines a methodology for managing an organisation's CO2 emissions, it is not sufficient to enable a certification standard thah can be used for benchmarking or public declaration.   Progressive Certification have issued a Publicly Available Specification (PAS) to enable ISO 140641 to be used for certification;  PC-PAS.044:2012 can be downloaded free.

PC-PAS.044:2012 provides certified companies the use of marks to declare that they have been certified to ISO 14064-1:2006 with PC-PAS.044:2012.

The EPA recently issued their preport on projected GHG air emissions 2011-2020.   They project that Ireland will not be able to achieve the targets set for 2020.  Organisations can review and monitor their GHG emissions through a certified carbon footprinting management system using PC-PAS.044:2012 and help meet target reductions and, most importantly these days, eliminate waste.
