Progressive Certification have developed an auditable Business Plan standard - PC-PAS.002:2012.   This standard is published in draft for comment.

A well developed business plan is essential to any business but particularly in these days of economic uncertainty;  many people (including those who may be unemployed) are stating a business and need to prepare themselves for success.  Understanding the business, researching the market, employing the appropriate resources and mapping out their finances are essential.

There are many sources of advice for business planning and a business would be wise to use any resources they consider useful.   PC-PAS.002:2012 has been developed in an ecclectic manner and uses many sources of information and advice.  PC-PAS.002:2012 can be used as an auditable standard and an intermediate step towards obtaining ISO 9001 certification;  it is this difference that will make this contribution to business planning unique and uniquely useful.

The PAS is available for comment for two months and will be published as v. 1.0 at the end of 2012.
