Progressive Certification have published PC-PAS 002:2013; a standard for business plans which can be downloaded free.

PC-PAS 002:2013 is a standard which can be used by any organisation to create a business plan that covers all the necessary areas and can establish the viability of a business and its planned direction.   There are a number of websites and publications providing guidance on business planning;  PC-PAS 002:2013 builds on this guidance and, in particular, meets the requirements of the Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies – Ireland and the Irish Banking Federation.  It is intended that the standard can be used anywhere in the world.

PC-PAS 002:2013 is not intended specifically for use in any commercial situation but it is expected to meet the requirements of banks and institutions offering financial and technical assistance to organisations.  The standard may also be used for third-party certification and as a precursor for ISO 9001 certification. Progressive Certification offer certification to PC-PAS 002:2013 and will be happy to discuss this with any organisation. A certified business plan may be of more value when interacting with institutions and agencies since the statements will have been verified as being accurate and balanced.
